What time is Check in and check out

We ask that guests check in between 4 and 5 pm where possible unless by prior arrangement.  Late check in and early check in/car drop off are available by prior arrangement.  Please contact one week before your stay to confirm arrival time.  Check out time is 11 am.

Where are you located?

We are situated on the northern outskirts of Oxford, City Centre (3 miles), Summertown (2 miles).

​

Are you near public transport?

Peartree Park and Ride is 2.5 miles and St Nicholas Church Bus Stop, Marston is approximately 0.75 miles on foot (it is necessary to cross the ring road via designated footpath crossing).  

 

Buses run from here approximately every 30 minutes to the centre of Oxford and also to the John Radcliffe Hospital. Oxfordbus.co.uk (bus no 14).

 

A taxi to the centre of Oxford costs approximately £12.00

Can you walk or cycle into Oxford?

Guests can walk to Oxford in approximately 1 hour.  There is also a scenic walk along the river which takes  around the same time.

​

It is possible to cycle into Oxford in 15 – 20 minutes.  There is secure storage for bikes on site.

​

If you would like to take a walk in the countryside then we are situated on the Oxfordshire Way.  It is possible to access walks across surrounding farm land.

 

Do you have a star rating?

We have an AA four star guest accommodation rating from the AA.

 

Are there fridges in the rooms?

Currently we are unable to provide fridges in the rooms but we are looking at providing this facility during 2023.   If you require anything to be refrigerated during your stay we are happy to help.  If you would like to bring wine with you we are happy to provide an ice bucket, cork screw and glasses.

 

What are arrangements for breakfast?

A cooked or continental breakfast is included within the price of the room.  We prefer to serve breakfast between 8 and 9 am during the week and 8 and 9.30 at weekends.  Earlier or later times may be possible but we are not able to guarantee this.  

 

If you require an earlier breakfast or would like to take advantage of a lie in we are able to provide a take away continental style breakfast with croissants.

 

Breakfast is served in our Clubhouse overlooking the equestrian arena and in the summer it is possible to eat outside on the terrace area.

 

Do you have parking?

We have ample parking for cars and there is no extra cost for this.  We have a secure gated entrance and CCTV.  Guests are welcome to leave their car early and/or collect later after check out so that they are able to explore Oxford.

 

Do you have a minimum length of stay?

We cater for stays of one night or more.

 

Do you cater for children?

Unfortunately due to the configuration of our accommodation we are unable to cater for under 16’s unless sharing a room with one adult.

Does the accommodation have Wi-Fi?

Yes free Wi-Fi is available at no extra charge.

​

What is provided in the room

We provide towels, toiletries, refreshment tray (tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and mineral water), iron, ironing board, hairdryer and flat screen TV.

 

Who do you cater for?

Holidays, short breaks, wedding guests, groups, visiting children at Oxford University, hospital visits to the John Radcliffe, Nuffield or Churchill Hospital, business professionals.

Christmas bookings

Unfortunately we do not open at Christmas.

Do you cater for evening meals

Unfortunately we are unable to offer evening meals but we are situated close to some lovely pubs and restaurants.  Pubs serving food in Marston village are also within walking distance.

 

Are you able to see livestock on site?

 

We do not have any farm livestock on site currently but we are set in 20 acres of grounds.  We run one of the largest equestrian show venues in the South East and guests have the opportunity to see horses and ponies on the arena from our breakfast areas on most days.  We run shows at weekends and guests are welcome to spectate.
