Public Transport and Taxis

​

Peartree Park and Ride is 2.5 miles and St Nicholas Church Bus Stop, Marston is approximately 0.75 miles on foot (it is necessary to cross the ring road via designated footpath crossing).  

 

Buses run from here approximately every 30 minutes to the centre of Oxford and also to the John Radcliffe Hospital. Oxfordbus.co.uk (bus no 14).

 

A taxi to the centre of Oxford costs approximately £12.00

Walking and Cycling

​

Guests can walk to Oxford in approximately 1 hour.  There is also a scenic walk along the river which takes  around the same time.

​

It is possible to cycle into Oxford in 15 – 20 minutes.  There is secure storage for bikes on site.

​

If you would like to take a walk in the countryside then we are situated on the Oxfordshire Way.  It is possible to access walks across surrounding farm land.

From London / South East by road 

 

Leave the M40 northbound at junction 8 and follow the A40 into Oxford to the roundabout. Turn the third exit at this roundabout, continuing along the A40 signposted towards Cheltenham. At the next roundabout, double back taking the fourth exit and pass back underneath the green and white footbridge. Approximately 400 yards further after the footbride there are two farm traffic signs either side of the road. Continue past these signs and shortly after this there is a horse and rider sign. When you see this sign, slow down and indicate left directly off the by-pass into Mill Lane.  Continue along Mill Lane and the entrance to Hill Farm can be found approximately 400 meters on the left hand side. 

 

From Birmingham / North by road

Leave the M40 southbound at junction 9 and follow the A34 south (signposted Oxford) to Peartree Interchange. Take the second exit at the roundabout past the park and ride up to Wolvercote roundabout and large BP garage, and again take the second exit (signposted to London). Go straight across the next roundabout and underneath the green and white footbridge. Approximately 400 yards further after the footbride there are two farm traffic signs either side of the road. From the South by road

Travel north on the A34 across the M4 junction 13 at Chieveley and up to Peartree Interchange just to the north of Oxford. Come off the dual carriageway here and take the fourth exit at the roundabout under the flyover, past the park and ride up to Wolvercote roundabout and large BP garage, and again take the second exit (signposted to London). Rail

Hill Farm is about 15 minutes in a taxi from Oxford train station. The journey should cost around £12.00. Taxis are easily available directly outside the concourse. 

Hill Farm is approximately 5 minutes by car from Oxford Parkway.

 

Air

 

Heathrow is approximately one and a half hours away by car.  Gatwick and Stanstead are about two hours. There is a regular coach service to and from Oxford (Headington and the City Centre) from all the London airports. Taxis are available at the Gloucester Green coach station.

 

Coach 

Coaches run from Oxford to London and back every 20 minutes from the Town Centre and nearby park and ride car park at Thornhill. Taxis are available from these locations.
